Say NO to software patents in Europe! The GNOPPIX website is participating in an online demonstration against the acceptance of software patents in Europe. This change in law threatens many GNOPPIX contributors living and working in Europe, and is a detriment to the progress of our industry as a whole.

Gnoppix is a linux live cd based upon Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 (woody). It can be compared to Knoppix but GNOPPIX uses GNOME as desktop environment.
We're planning to create a GUI installation tool to make installing GNU/Linux with a GNOME desktop as easy as possible.
